Born Herman Bernard Waldman on March 6, 1917 to February 8 or 13, 1973, David Bauer was an American actor in stage, film, and television who lived mostly in Britain from November 1958 until his death. Leo Waldman and Ida Katz were born in Chicago, Illinois. Waldman attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated in 1938.[8] In addition to his Bachelor of Arts degree, Waldman received the school’s $75 Dramatic Club Prize and, more significantly, a scholarship to the Berkshire Playhouse in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where he performed with actors like Fred Stone, Jane Cowl, and Eugenie Leontovich and had the opportunity to meet people like Jane Wyatt, Edith Barrett, and Sinclair Lewis.
