Biography:

Chinmay Mandlekar, born on February 2, 1979, is an Indian actor, writer, and stage director, primarily active in the Marathi entertainment industry. He is renowned for his contributions to various films such as Zenda, Morya, Farzand (2018), Fatteshikast (2019), The Kashmir Files (2022), and Pawankhind (2022). Notably, he has also appeared in several episodes of the crime series “Crime Patrol” portraying the character of SI Rajesh Jadhav. Mandlekar has garnered acclaim for his versatility in selecting roles, earning praise for his exceptional acting skills.

A graduate of the National School of Drama, Mandlekar has made significant contributions to the theater scene with successful plays like Bechaki and Sukhanshi Bhandto Aamhi.

In the realm of cinema, Mandlekar has showcased his talents as both an actor and writer, featuring in Marathi films such as Zenda, Morya, and Gajaar: Journey of the Soul. His portrayal opposite Mrunal Dusanis in the popular TV serial “Tu Tithe Me” has solidified his status as a household name in Maharashtra. Additionally, he played a role in the 2017 Marathi film Halal, directed by Shivaji Lotan Patil and produced by Amol Kagne.

Mandlekar has also ventured into supporting roles in Hindi cinema, appearing in films like Tere Bin Laden and Shanghai. He is married with two children, a daughter, and a son. Furthermore, in 2017, Mandlekar was part of the Marathi TV series “Sakhya Re” on Colors Marathi, and he portrayed the lead role of Saint Tukaram in the Marathi serial “Tu Maza Sangati”. From 2020 to 2021, he served as the writer and producer of the Marathi series “Chandra Aahe Sakshila,” aired on Colors Marathi. Starting from September 2021, he wrote and produced “Dyaneshwar Mauli” for Sony Marathi under his production house, Mulakshar Productions.
