Conrad Buff IV, an American film editor with over 25 picture credits since 1985, was born on July 8, 1948. Buff, together with his co-editors James Cameron and Richard A. Harris, won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing and the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Film for Titanic (1997). For Thirteen Days (2000), he also took home the Satellite Award for Best Editing.
Buff is most well-known for editing four James Cameron films, including Titanic. Buff and Joel Goodman co-edited The Abyss (1989). Buff, together with Mark Goldblatt and Richard A. Harris, was nominated for both an Oscar and an Eddie for the editing of Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991). For True Lies (1994), he was once more nominated for an Eddie (together with Goldblatt and Harris). Titanic was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Editing in addition to its real honours.
