Actress and playwright Charlaine “Charlayne” Woodard was born in the United States on December 29, 1953. She has won two Obie Awards and has been nominated for a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award. She was a regular on the popular FX television show Pose. Run For The Dream: The Gail Devers’ Story, a Showtime film, featured her in the title role. Woodard, who played Cindy in ABC’s Movie of the Week, was the first black Cinderella to appear on television or screen. On June 21, 2023, she made her debut as Priscilla Fury in the Marvel Studios miniseries Secret Invasion.
