Benjamin Davis is a British cinematographer who was born on September 6, 1961. The Marvel Studios films Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Doctor Strange (2016), Captain Marvel (2019), and Eternals (2021) are among his most notable works, along with Kick-Ass (2010) and Hannibal Rising (2007). He has worked on three films, including Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, with Martin McDonagh and four with Matthew Vaughn.
At Samuelsons Camera House, which is now a division of the motion picture equipment manufacturer Panavision, Davis began his professional career. He performed in commercials and feature films as a camera operator, focus puller, and clapper loader. He collaborated with Roger Deakins, Douglas Slocombe, and Billy Williams at this time. He started out shooting spots as a cinematographer. His first major feature film as a cinematographer was the 2002 British film Miranda.
