Biography:

Born Nafeez Kizar, Arav is an Indian actor and model who performs in Tamil cinema. He made his acting debut in the 2016 film Saithan, starring Vijay Antony. He later gained notoriety as the winner of the Kamal Haasan-hosted inaugural season of the Tamil reality television series Bigg Boss.

On October 31, 1990, Arav was born as Nafeez Kizar in Nagercoil, in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. The family relocated to Trichy, where Arav was raised, because his father was a professor at Trichy Government Law College. He attended Kamala Niketan Montessori School in Trichy for his early education before relocating to Chennai to attend Hindustan University to earn a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. After completing his studies, Arav took the Civil Service Examinations and eventually accepted a position at Apollo Tyres and Daimler India Commercial Vehicles.

After spotting Arav’s potential, celebrity photographer V. S. Anandhakrishna introduced him to the world of modeling and set up a picture shoot. A week after the shoot, a clothing firm in Dubai approached Arav. He later established himself in the South Indian modeling market by doing over three hundred TV commercials and print ads for various brands.
