Ankur Garg

Biography:

Ankur Garg, born on 6 April 1982, is an Indian movie producer and entrepreneur who, in 2012, co-founded the production company Luv Films alongside his childhood friend Luv Ranjan. Before venturing into the film industry, Ankur spent seven years working at Microsoft. In his final role at the company, he served as the Lead for Customer & Partner Experience. However, in September 2012, Ankur decided to leave Microsoft to pursue his passion for filmmaking and established Luv Films, where he currently manages the business aspects of the company.

As a producer at Luv Films, Ankur has been involved in several successful projects. Notably, he produced the blockbuster movies “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety” (2018), featuring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, and Sunny Singh, “De De Pyaar De” (2019), starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh, “Jai Mummy Di” (2020), with Sunny Singh, Sonnalli Seygall, Supriya Pathak, and Poonam Dhillon, and “Malang: Unleash The Madness” (2020), featuring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, and Kunal Khemu. Due to the success of “Malang,” a sequel has also been announced. In addition, he produced the popular digital sitcom “Life Sahi Hai.”

Ankur Garg’s upcoming projects at Luv Films include “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,” directed by Luv Ranjan and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, and “Kuttey,” directed by Aasmaan Bharadwaj, featuring Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Konkana Sen Sharma, Naseeruddin Shah, and Radhika Madan. “Kuttey” is a co-production with Vishal Bharadwaj.

Outside of the film industry, in August 2013, Ankur launched the social organization iForIndia.org, which aims to foster accountability in Indian politics.
