“Vadh” is a Hindi-language thriller film written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Rajiv Barnwal, and produced by Luv Films. The story centers on Shambhunath Mishra, a retired middle school teacher living a mundane life with his wife, Manju Mishra, in a run-down house in Gwalior. Struggling to make ends meet with his pension and tutoring local children, their lives take a dramatic turn when a situation spirals out of control, resulting in a killing at the hands of Shambhunath Mishra. With little time to spare, Mishra must carefully plan and execute the “perfect murder” to cover his tracks.
“Vadh” was theatrically released on December 9, 2022, and was showcased at the 54th IFFI Indian Panorama section. It later became available on OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime and Netflix.
