Story:

Jaspal Singh Sandhu is the writer and director of the 2025 Indian Hindi-language criminal thriller Vadh 2 (also known as Execution 2), which is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films. Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta play the main roles in this spiritual sequel to the 2022 movie Vadh.

The majority of Vadh 2 takes place within a little prison in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. Manju spends her days negotiating the harsh and politically fraught prison environment after being imprisoned for a double murder that she maintains she did not commit.

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the prison is Shambhunath Mishra, a tired low-ranking police officer who is getting close to retirement. At first aloof and emotionally guarded, Shambhunath gradually develops an unanticipated, platonic relationship with Manju as they engage in lengthy discussions and mutual comprehension in the harsh setting.

Both the government and the prisoners control power within the prison walls. Keshav, also known as Bhure Bhaiya, is a dangerous criminal with political support because he is the brother of a local MLA. He uses violence and intimidation to control the internal hierarchy, instilling terror in his fellow inmates and even influencing the personnel who are supposed to keep him under control. His presence heightens tensions and highlights how brittle the prison’s order is.

Panic and suspicion spread throughout the jail when Keshav abruptly vanishes under mysterious circumstances. Investigator Ateet Singh is brought in to lead the investigation into Keshav’s disappearance, and as interrogations progress, long-buried secrets and hidden truths start to come to light, forcing both guards and inmates to face difficult realities about justice, loyalty, and morality.

Alliances change and the nature of guilt and innocence becomes more complicated as the events unfold procedurally. It turns out that Keshav attempted to rape a 22-year-old inmate; Naina intervenes and kills Keshav; she informs Ateet of the killing but calls it an execution; Shambhunath gave Naina the justice she desired by hiding the dead body in the jailer’s quarters and burying the jailor’s ring in order to frame him for the murders and made a false case against Naina. The story is anchored by the developing relationship between Shambhunath and Manju.
