Actor and director A. M. Jyothi Krishna, popularly called Rathnam Krishna, works in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. He is the eldest brother of actor Ravi Krishna and the eldest son of producer A. M. Rathnam.
When Jyothi Krishna was seventeen years old, he was given credit for telling the tale of his father, A. M. Ratnam, who produced the box office hit Natpukaaga, starring Sarath Kumar.He also contributed to the story discussions for Rajinikanth’s popular film Padayappa and wrote the story for Chiranjeevi’s Sneham Kosam.He went on to make his directorial debut in the A. R. Rahman musical Enakku 20 Unakku 18, starring Tarun, Trisha Krishnan and Shriya Saran. In Kedi, his subsequent film, his brother Ravi Krishna played the main role, with Tamannaah Bhatia and Ileana D’Cruz rounding out the cast.
Jyothi Krishna started filming Ooh La La La, his acting debut, in 2010. The film is slated for release in 2012.Oxygen, his most recent film, is scheduled for release on November 30, 2017.
