Renowned as an actor and filmmaker, he gained widespread acclaim for his directorial and lead role in the critically and commercially successful film “Kantara.” His notable achievements include the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film at the 66th National Film Awards for “Sarkari Hi. Having completed his schooling in Kundapura, Udupi district, Rishab pursued B.Com at Vijaya College, Bengaluru. Initially involved in yakshagana plays in Kundapura, his passion for theatre led him to explore a professional acting career. While working odd jobs, including selling water cans and real estate, he simultaneously ventured into films. Rishab acquired a diploma in film direction from the Government Film and TV Institute in Bangalore.
His journey in the film industry began with various roles, including clap boy and assistant director. Meeting Rakshit Shetty proved pivotal, leading to a lasting friendship. Rishab’s breakthrough came with the films “Lucia” and “Ulidavaru Kandante,” where he showcased his acting prowess.
