Reshma Rathore, an accomplished Indian actress and model, has left an indelible mark on the South Indian film industry with her versatile performances. Born in Yellandhu, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, to Shri Haridas Rathore, a Deputy Superintending Mining Engineer in Singareni Collieries Company, and the late Smt. Radha Bai Rathore, a High Court lawyer, Reshma embarked on her journey in the world of cinema after securing admission at Kakatiya University for a Bachelor of Law degree in Warangal.

Her film career commenced with a notable role in “Bodyguard” (Telugu), where she portrayed Trisha’s friend. However, it was her debut film “Ee Rojullo,” directed by Maruthi, that catapulted her into the limelight. The film enjoyed a successful run of 175 days in theaters, earning her the title of the Best Confident Face of The Year at the 2012 CineMAA Awards. Reshma’s commendable performance in “Ee Rojullo” also earned her a nomination at the 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Female Debutante.

Subsequently, Reshma Rathore continued to make her presence felt in the industry with films like “Jai Sriram,” where she starred alongside Uday Kiran, as well as projects like “Love Cycle,” “Jeelakarabellam,” and the socio-political thriller “Pratighatana,” where she took on the challenging role of a rape victim.

Beyond the realm of entertainment, Reshma took a hiatus from acting in 2018 to venture into politics. Joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Ambedkar Jayanthi, she became a youth leader in the party’s youth wing (BJYM). In an interview with Times of India, she articulated her political aspirations, expressing a desire to establish a steel factory in Bayyaram, which could provide self-employment opportunities for the local youth.
