Mohammad Samad, born on May 7, 2000, is an Indian actor recognized for his roles in films such as Gattu (2012), Haraamkhor (2015), Tumbbad (2018), and Chhichhore (2019). He took on the lead character of Manju Kumar in the Netflix web series Selection Day (2018).
Born in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Mohammad Samad’s parents operate a grocery shop in Roorkee, and he has one elder brother and four elder sisters. He pursued his education at St. Gabriel’s Academy, Roorkee.
His initial breakthrough came with the movie Gattu, where he portrayed the titular lead role and earned the Best Child Actor Award at the 12th New York Indian Film Festival. Samad has also showcased his acting prowess in films like Haraamkhor and Tumbbad. In 2018, he took on the lead role in the Netflix web series Selection Day.
