“Amaran“, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, was released yesterday, October 31st, as a Diwali gift. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film was produced jointly by Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran, Sony Pictures International Productions, and God Bless Entertainment.

Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy released the film in Telugu under the banner of “Shrest Movies”. The movie received positive reviews on its first day, leading to impressive bookings in the Telugu states.

This means it has achieved about 50% of its recovery! It still needs to earn another Rs. 2.33 crores to break even. The chances of the film reaching break even by this weekend are quite high.
