Maarigallu

Story:

Devraj Poojary is the writer and director of the Indian Kannada-language supernatural folklore thriller web series Maarigallu, which is produced by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar under PRK Productions. The narrative centers on a buried treasure from the Kadamba era and a terrifying series of incidents that conflate fear and belief. In addition to Ninaad Hrithsa, Prashanth Siddi, and A. S. Suraj, the show features Gopal Krishna Deshpande, Rangayana Raghu, and Praveen Tej, all of whom are making their web series debuts.  The seven-episode season was made available for streaming on ZEE5 on October 31, 2025. The show takes place in and around a village close to Sirsi, Karnataka, in the 1990s. There, a group of locals discover an old hint to a hidden treasure that is thought to be from the Kadamba dynasty, one of the state’s first governing dynasties. A battle motivated by greed, betrayal, faith, and superstition arises from the discovery, which sparks a hunt that attracts local leaders, opportunists, and power brokers.
