Sarkar, Vijay’s third big film in the direction of A.R. Murugadoss is scheduled for a release on 7th November in Telugu and Tamil. But the plagiarism claims on the movie have been proved right by Tamil/ South Indian Writers association, headed by Bhagyaraja.
Varun Rajendran, the claimant demanded his name as the writer and remuneration of Rs. 30 lakhs. AR Murugadoss did not agree for these terms and said that the script is his own.
Now, Vijay Rajendran moved to Madras High Court with a civil suite claiming that the movie release needs to be stopped till the issue settles amicably. He filed the suite claiming that his Sengol movie script has been modified with some cosmetic changes.
High Court took the case and called for arguments to be submitted by 30th of October. There is a chance that both the parties could come for an out of court settlement as well. The case is indeed strong in favour of Varun it seems.
