The narrative centers around Prabhu, who finds himself entangled in a tumultuous love story with his classmate, Rithika. Despite their mutual feelings, their love encounters resistance when Rithika’s father disapproves of their relationship. Determined and lovelorn, Prabhu, in collaboration with his friends, devises a plan to kidnap Rithika and elope. This sets off a chain of events that involves encounter specialist ACP Manoj Menon IPS, brought in by Rithika’s father, Avinash Gowda. Adding to the complexity, Rithika’s male friend, Deepak, portrays Prabhu as a persistent drug addict, influencing Rithika to distance herself from him.
As Manoj intensifies efforts to track Prabhu and his friends, a lead from another acquaintance, Umesh, leads to an arrest at the Bangarpet bus stand. The pursuit continues to a railway station, where Manoj intercepts the train carrying Prabhu and Rithika to Chennai via Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. Here, Rithika is forcefully taken into custody, escalating the conflict.
A flashback, narrated by Rithika, unveils the reasons behind her affection for Prabhu, appreciating his sharp presence of mind on numerous occasions. As the flashback concludes, a confrontation unfolds on the highway, with Prabhu strategically placing a makeshift glass barrier, forcing Manoj to halt. A brawl ensues, resulting in Prabhu’s defeat, but the conflict persists at the Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka border. Seizing an opportunity, Prabhu threatens Manoj and escapes with Rithika.
The cat-and-mouse chase continues, culminating in a phone call from Manoj to Prabhu, claiming his friend needs urgent medical attention after an accident. Another clash occurs when Prabhu seeks out Manoj. At the stroke of midnight, Rithika turns 18, gaining the legal right to choose her partner. Acknowledging legal constraints, Manoj decides to leave the highway.
