Story:

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (transl. Some Guy, Some Girl) is a romantic comedy film in the Indian Telugu language released in 2023. It was written and directed by Srinivas Avasarala and features Naga Shaurya and Malvika Nair in the lead roles. The film hit theaters on March 17, 2023, and received mixed-to-positive reviews from both critics and audiences. However, it did not perform well at the box office.

Plot

Sanjay and Anupama first met in college, with Sanjay being a junior to Anupama. Despite this, they formed a strong bond and eventually began living together after graduating. However, their relationship came to an abrupt end. Ten years later, Sanjay owns a restaurant in London, where he unexpectedly encounters Anupama. She reveals that she is there because her sister has arranged a marriage proposal for her. When the prospective groom arrives at the restaurant, Anupama bids him farewell and asks Sanjay to accompany her home.

As Anupama prepares to leave, she is flooded with memories of their past together. The next day, Sanjay realizes his walkie-talkie is missing and discovers that Anupama has left for India. He catches up with her just as she is about to board a bus in an attempt to escape. Sanjay confesses that he couldn’t bear the thought of Anupama facing a difficult situation alone, as his mother had suffered from cancer. Touched by his words, Anupama and Sanjay reminisce about their past and the movie concludes.
