Story:

Nishabdham is an Indian Telugu-language mystery film released on 2 October 2020 Hemant Madhukar, Kona Venkat, and T. G. Vishwa Prasad are the co-producers. Michael Madsen, Anushka Shetty, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, R. Madhavan, and Subbaraju are among the film’s stars. Silence was concurrently shot in Tamil, despite the fact that the film was supposed to have no dialogue. On October 2, 2020, Amazon Prime Video will release the movie along with its Malayalam and Kannada dubbing.

A couple staying at a villa close to Seattle on Christmas Eve 1972 is eerily murdered; the male victim is crucified. The villa is taken over by the King County, but because of its reputation as a haunted house, it is not sold until 2019.

Sakshi, a deaf-mute artist, goes to the villa with her fiancé in search of a painting of a previous owner, the couple’s ghost thought to have killed them. But after a while, she flees with blood on her clothes and is struck by a car.

Captain Richard Dawkins and Detective Mahalakshmi are tasked with conducting the investigation. Sakshi’s fiancé has died in the basement, it is revealed, and as his body is being removed, a key drops from his grasp. When Maha questions Sakshi in the hospital, she finds out that she discovered his body crucified and was blinded by her attacker. Maha then does some research on Anthony Gonsalves, the victim—a well-known cellist whose first wife committed suicide.

Seattle police are being closely watched because so many girls have already vanished there. Sakshi undergoes another interview since the results of the first inquiry are unclear. Sonali, Sakshi’s closest friend, vanished not long after she got engaged to Anthony. Sakshi explains her history. She first met Sonali while living in an orphanage in Sequim. An invitation to exhibit her artwork at a gallery in Seattle arrived one day. Becoming Sakshi’s roommate, Sonali, who is very possessive, initially disagrees but then changes her mind.

Photographer Vivek and Sakshi meet at the gallery. Anthony, the honored guest of a recent exhibition, meets Sakshi and is struck by her art. He asks her to his concert and gives a million dollars to her orphanage. Sakshi goes and listens to his music, getting enthralled. As they get to know each other better, they fall in love and become engaged. Sonali chose to spend a week at the villa to unwind and look for the painting after she vanished.

After observing similar behaviour in a child, Maha comes to the realization that Sonali wants Sakshi’s undivided attention. Suspecting there may be a link between Sonali’s disappearance and Anthony’s passing, she visits the orphanage to look into the matter. She finds out that Sakshi was the only person who ever accompanied Sonali out, even to the point of getting arrested for stabbing someone. In Sonali’s room, Maha also finds a drawing of a crucifixion. When Maha visits Sakshi’s home out of concern, she fires at a hooded man who then flees.

In an attempt to find more evidence against Sonali, the police search the villa once more. Tom discovers the key in the basement and gives it to Richard, who murders Tom and keeps it for himself. Maha suspects Richard of being involved, so she breaks into his office and takes the key after noticing his coat button next to Tom’s corpse.

After that, she tracks Richard and goes with him to a farmhouse, which she learns is actually Anthony’s. After failing to find any CCTV footage of the house, Richard walks away. A flashback happens when Sakshi and the hooded man—who turns out to be Vivek, the person who recorded the earlier footage—meet at the Space Needle shortly after.

Once Vivek and Sakshi moved in together, Sonali grew envious. The two became close friends. Sakshi reveals Sonali’s character, but Vivek is still hurt. A customer asked Sakshi out when she was a barista and Sonali was working there. Sonali tries to prove that he is a flirt, as she insists. Sakshi went out for coffee with Sonali, and Sonali massaged his leg.

Sonali was arrested after a customer reached under the table and poked her with a fork, causing her skirt to prickle. After Vivek makes the decision to give Sonali a chance, they start getting along. Through Sakshi’s support, Vivek and Sonali experience love.

Sonali is upset when Anthony later asks Sakshi to marry him. Fans welcome Anthony the day following his performance. Some even give him their phone number and give him a kiss. Sakshi rejects Sonali’s attempts to persuade her that Anthony is a flirt. To prove it, Sonali sends him a flirtatious text. After initially objecting, he finally consents to see her.

Even after Sakshi assured Sonali that he had no evil intentions, Sakshi went to meet Sonali while keeping a close eye on them. She watches them share a drink and become close in the farmhouse. But Anthony murders Sonali out of the blue. When Richard gets there, he assists Anthony in tidying up the area. Unnoticed, Sakshi informed Vivek of what had transpired.

When they arrived at the police station, she saw Richard. Sakshi encountered a poster for a girl who provided Anthony with her number when Anthony took her to see Richard once more regarding Sonali’s disappearance. Sakshi noticed that Anthony’s concert dates line up with the disappearance dates. She intended to trick Anthony into going to the villa so that Vivek could kill him in retaliation. When Anthony awakens from being knocked out and restrained, they question him.

Anthony says that as a result of his wife’s and her lover’s infidelity, he killed them at a motel. Richard came into the room and chose to allow him to proceed. Richard tells him he came to the same motel to look into his wife, who was also cheating on him in a different room, when he goes to meet him outside. After Anthony killed Richard’s wife, Richard assisted in the murders’ cover-up. Anthony then starts murdering any unfaithful women who make advances on him, and Richard hides all the bodies and proof. Sakshi is furious and murders Anthony after learning this.

Sakshi and Vivek make the decision to use the video in the present to reveal Richard to the FBI. But Richard captures Vivek and keeps him as a hostage. Richard is killed and they are saved by Maha, who earlier installed a tracker on Richard’s car. Following that, the crimes committed by Richard and Anthony are ultimately established, but Anthony’s murder is still unsolved. At Sonali’s grave, Sakshi and Vivek pay their respects as the movie comes to an end.
