An enthusiastic guy named Vamsi believes he is the reincarnation of Salim, the son of Mughal Emperor Akbar in the sixteenth century. After walling up his beloved Anarkali, he broke their relationship and is now stalking her while posing as Sirisha. Despite making fun of him, Sirisha finally develops feelings for him when he self-immolates. Sirisha’s cunning and conceited mother Shakuntala Devi learns about their relationship via her brother Gnaneswara Rao, who desires to match Sirisha with his son Giri. Vamsi’s family is disparaged by Shakuntala, who also breaks up the relationship.
Shakuntala arranged the marriage of her son Seshu Babu and the daughter of Gnaneswara Rao two decades ago. But Seshu Babu turned down his fiancée because he was in love with Padmavati, Vamsi’s sister. Padmavati, who gave birth to a daughter named Sarada, was attempted to be killed by Gnaneswara Rao. Vamsi’s mother Parvatamma asks him to wed Sarada, but he says no and professes his love for Sirisha instead. Shakuntala consents to Vamsi’s marriage to Sirisha as long as she is given her fortune as an inheritance.
Vamsi throws Sirisha out after the wedding night and gives her his belongings. He doesn’t say anything when asked why he did it. After that, Sirisha fabricates bogus credentials to prove her virginity and Vamsi’s impotence. Vamsi exhibits patience, and upon learning of Sirisha’s pregnancy, he reveals Shakuntala’s immoral actions and declares his union with Sarada. Vamsi saves Sirisha from suicide attempt and extends forgiveness to Shakuntala. Vamsi and Sirisha reunite at the film’s conclusion.
