“Chukkallo Chandrudu” weaves a tale of love, choices, and unexpected turns, illustrating that life’s journey can lead to unexpected destinations, and sometimes, the right choice is closer than one might think.
The story revolves around Arjun, an NRI living with his grandparents, Krishna Rao and Padmavathi, in Germany. After Padmavathi’s sudden demise, Krishna Rao feels a responsibility to fulfill her last wish: to see Arjun married. Despite Arjun’s reluctance, Krishna Rao travels to India to seek support from people who might convince Arjun.
Arjun learns of his grandfather’s visit and decides to bring him back to Germany. However, Krishna Rao agrees to return only if Arjun agrees to marry. Arjun, with the help of his childhood friend Puppy, narrows down his choices to three childhood friends: Shalini, Sravani, and Sandhya.
In an attempt to win their hearts, Arjun, introducing himself as Krishna, impresses the three girls with his playful and joyful personality. As he gets closer to each of them, Arjun becomes torn between Shalini, Sravani, and Sandhya. To make a decision, he randomly draws one name, leading to a sequence of events with each girl.
First, Arjun attempts to express his love to Sandhya through unconventional means, but she dismisses him as a tomboy, leading to a slap. Arjun then randomly selects Shalini, but she reveals that she has a boyfriend and is leaving for a tournament in Switzerland. Disheartened, Arjun rushes to the hospital, where Sravani’s grandmother is unwell. Arjun supports Sravani, pays for the operation, and gains her admiration.
As Arjun faces twists in his relationships with Shalini and Sravani, he learns that his choices have become more complex. Shalini’s revelation about playing a prank and Sravani’s engagement to an NRI complicates matters. Arjun, feeling he has lost all his options, contemplates returning to Germany.
With his grandfather’s guidance, Arjun explores other proposals, but none appeal to him. Fate brings him back to Sandhya, and as she proposes, Arjun realizes they share a childhood connection. However, at a party, Sharat, Sandhya’s ex, reappears. Arjun, sensing lingering feelings, facilitates their reunion, allowing Sandhya and Sharat to find happiness together.
The story takes a turn when Arjun attends Sravani’s wedding and overhears her fiancé’s deceitful intentions. A confrontation ensues, and with the elders’ intervention, Sravani discovers Arjun’s identity. The film concludes with Arjun marrying Sravani, fulfilling his grandfather’s suggestion to settle down in Germany.
