Plot
Gynaecologist Dr. Kush is a man who enjoys hanging out with his buddies. He worries that getting married might limit his independence. After consulting with a friend, he consents to feign innocence and weds Kushi, a submissive, attractive, conventional-looking girl. He finds out later that Kushi is just like him. She also becomes upset since she married him for the same reason—that he appeared innocent and that she wouldn’t have to give up her independence. In order to keep their families from learning, they both file for divorce but choose to remain together.
After becoming close friends, they eventually fall in love. Kush bids Kushi a happy birthday and gives her a trip to the sea (perhaps Goa), where they make a drunken declaration of love. The court approved their divorce before they came out as lovers. However, Kushi later found out that she was expecting a child (perhaps as a result of their first night’s sex…or others). Because she loves Kush, she chooses to keep the child, but she flees to hide it from him and shield it from her family’s condemnation. At that point, Kushi’s character undergoes a radical change; she sets out on her own to preserve her child, which she describes as the most valuable thing.
She comes back when she’s seven months along. In the meantime, in order to get away from his wounded heart and take some time off, Kush accepts a transfer to Italy. When he later visits her, he is even more devastated by the death of his patient’s kid from pregnancy difficulties and the thought that Kushi won’t be with him because of a mistake that her uncle purposefully caused. Kushi gives birth after a few weeks at the same hospital where Kush was admitted after his vehicle accident. The nurse told him while he was receiving treatment that there was no surgeon available and that a pregnant woman was in severe condition. Unaware that Kushi is in the operating room, Kush consents to do it.
