Sahaya Sheelan Shadrach born on 24 March 1966 is an Indian comedian, singer, actor, director, and producer. He also occasionally writes screenplays and lyrics and goes by the stage name Sadhu Kokila. Before turning to playing in movies, he worked as a composer for a while, particularly in comedic parts. Along with directing 10 Kannada movies, he is well known for Raktha Kanneeru (2003).
He has received the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Director twice as a composer, for the films Rakshasa (2005) and Inthi Ninna Preethiya (2008). In the South Indian International Movie Awards, he has been nominated and won numerous times as an actor in the Best Comedian category.
In Bangalore, in the Indian State of Mysore, Sadhu Kokila was born on March 24, 1966, as Sahaya Sheelan, into a Tamil Nadar Christian family, Natesh and Mangala (now Karnataka). His mother and sister were playback singers, and his father played the violin in the Karnataka Police Department’s music band.
He was born into a musical family. Layendra, the brother of Sadhu Kokila, is an actor as well. Kokila attended Bangalore’s St. Joseph’s Indian High School. The director of Sheelan’s first film, Shhh, Upendra, gave him the stage name Sadhu Kokila.
After being introduced to musician Kasturi Shankar by his brother, Kokila started his musical career. In addition, he is among India’s swiftest keyboard players.In 1993, Kokila wed Saleena. Together, they are parents to two kids, Suraag and Srujan.
