Archana 31 Not Out

Story:

Akhil Anilkumar wrote and directed the 2022 Malayalam comedy-drama Archana 31 Not Out, which was produced by Martin Prakkat, Siby Chavara, and Renjith Nair. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Hakim Shahjahan, Dileep Mohan, Indrans, and Ramesh Pisharody are among the actors in the movie. The story takes unforeseen turns when a 28-year-old schoolteacher called Archana marries an NRI man. Reviews were largely mixed when it was released on February 11, 2022.

Archana teaches at a private school. She is going through a difficult time because she is 28 years old, single, and losing her job due to a management decision. Archana has been turned down by thirty suitors, and the thirty-first is Prasad, an NRI who works in the Gulf. Archana and her family are introduced to his family. The engagement and subsequent marriage appear to be set in stone. When Prasad’s brother-in-law calls Archana just before the wedding day to tell her that Prasad has eloped with a female, everything appears to be going according to plan.

Archana experiences a range of emotions as a result of the marriage not taking place. She keeps Prasad’s elopement a secret from everyone, and the marriage is canceled. On the day of the wedding, everything goes according to plan, but Archana tells her guests about Prasad’s betrayal and proudly declares that instead of crying, they should be grateful that the marriage with a deceitful person did not occur. Everyone celebrates with Archana, and the guests comprehend her. Ultimately, it is evident that Archana has chosen to end her own life rather than care about society.
