Story:

V is a Telugu-language action thriller directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film stars Nani and Sudheer Babu, with Nivetha Thomas, Aditi Rao Hydari, Vennela Kishore, and Tanikella Bharani in supporting roles. Notably, this is Nani’s 25th film as a lead actor, and it marks his first role as an antihero.

The plot centers on a renowned police officer whose successful career is disrupted by V, a mysterious killer who dares him to stop his killing spree. The film’s score was composed by S. Thaman, while Amit Trivedi created the soundtrack. P. G. Vinda handled the cinematography, and Marthand K. Venkatesh took care of editing.

Originally scheduled for a theatrical release on 25 March 2020 to coincide with Ugadi, the release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, V premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 5 September 2020, making it the first mainstream Telugu film to debut digitally. It was re-released in theaters on 1 January 2021. The film received mixed reviews; Sudheer Babu received the Critics Choice Award for Best Actor – Telugu at the 9th SIIMA awards for his performance.
