Story:

“Save the Tigers” is a delightful Telugu series that revolves around the lives of three frustrated husbands: Ghanta Ravi (played by Priyadarshi), Rahul (Abhinav Gomatam), and Vikram (Chaitanya Krishna). The story unfolds when they meet at their children’s school on Mother’s Day and, finding solace in each other, form an unexpected friendship. But how does this newfound camaraderie awaken the tiger (pun intended) in them? And is there a price to pay for their newfound freedom?

Directed by Teja Kakumanu and written by Pradeep Advaitham, Vijay Namoju, and S Anand Karthik, this six-episode series takes a hilarious approach to the everyday frustrations experienced in households and workplaces. The narrative focuses on three couples: Ghanta Ravi-Hymavathi (Jordar Sujatha), Rahul-Madhuri (Pavani Gangireddy), and Vikram-Rekha (Deviyani Sharma).

The creators skillfully attribute distinct traits to each character, aiming to represent various conflicts encountered in modern daily life. Despite occasional slang usage, it is a family-friendly Telugu comedy series available on OTT platforms.

One of the key factors contributing to the series’s success is its well-thought-out casting. Priyadarshi, portraying a dairy farm businessman, Abhinav Gomatam as a lackadaisical aspiring writer, and Chaitanya Krishna as a reserved and emotional husband-father-employee, do justice to their respective roles.

The female leads, including Sujatha as a wife aspiring to live in a gated community, Pavani Gangireddy as a purpose-driven doctor and wife, and Deviyani as an activist lawyer-wife, also play their parts effectively.
Supporting acts by Venu Tillu, Gangavva, Harshavardhan, Rohini, Saddam, and others, though occasionally cliched, add to the entertainment quotient, creating some truly amusing moments.

The series, with six episodes titled “Mother’s Day,” “Tiger Meet,” “Tigers on TV,” “Dikky Dikky,” “No Pain No Gain,” and “Rise of the Tigers,” adeptly captures the frustrations, reveals the catalysts to their problems, explores the intricacies of married life, and offers perspectives from both men and women. However, the final episode could have been better written and presented, as it concludes with a ‘to be continued’ note, leaving viewers in anticipation.

Despite a few over-the-top and illogical sequences, “Save the Tigers” manages to work well, primarily due to its apt casting and the engaging portrayal of everyday challenges. The short duration of each episode contributes to the series being a breezy and enjoyable watch.

In terms of technical aspects, the series maintains decent values, with cinematography by SV Vishweshwar, music by Ajay Arasada, editing by Shravan Katikaneni, and costume designing by Hyndavi Suda.
“Save the Tigers” stands out as a fun-filled Telugu series that successfully blends humor with relatable situations. While it may have its share of quirky moments, the series manages to entertain and resonate with audiences, making it a worthwhile watch for those seeking light-hearted and amusing content.
