Choudary, the film featured Rajasekhar and Sakshi Shivanand in lead roles and achieved considerable success at the box office. “Siva Rama Raju,” a 2002 release, produced by R.B. Choudary as well, was a remake of the Tamil film “Samudhiram” from the year 2000, featuring Nandamuri, Harikrishna, Jagapathi Babu, Sivaji, and Monica.
The year 2005 saw the release of “Mahanandi,” starring Anushka Shetty, Srihari, and Sumanth in pivotal roles. The film, dubbed in Hindi as “Ek Aur Mahayudh” and in Malayalam as “Ullasam,” performed moderately well at the box office. “Panchakshari,” a 2010 Telugu film featuring Anushka Shetty in the lead role, garnered positive responses and proved to be a box office success.
“Vijayadasami,” a Telugu film released in the past, starred Kalyan Ram and Vedhicka in lead roles and was a remake of the Tamil movie “Sivakasi.” Unfortunately, the film received negative reviews from critics, impacting its box office performance. “Adhineta,” a political drama released in 2009, featuring Jagapati Babu and Shraddha Das, did not fare well commercially.
“Chandee” a 2013 release and a remake of the Tamil movie “Maayi”, drew inspiration from the Hollywood film “The Long Kiss Goodnight”. Starring Priyamani and Krishnam Raju, it emerged as a superhit, grossing 550 million rupees in just 30 days. Political unrest in Andhra Pradesh led to a delayed release, originally scheduled for October but eventually hitting the screens in November. In Bangladesh, the film found its audience under the name “Rokto” in 2016.
