Indian actor Tarak Ponnappa, who hails from Kodagu, is well-known for his roles in the Kannada film industry. He began his career in modeling, went on to work as a freelancer for four years in a row, and walked the catwalk for some of the biggest names in fashion, like Bibi Russell, Tarun Tahiliani, Lokesh Ahuja, and others.
In 2017, he made his screen debut in the Kannada film Ajaaramara. He attended Acharya Institute of Technology to complete his engineering degree and then returned to the same institution to complete his M.Tech. He has always wanted to be an actor and pursue a profession in performing, even as a young child. In addition to his acting career, he is a talented vocalist.
He has been in a number of well-known movies, including Moksha (2018), Deshdol (2018), 6 to 6 (2018), and KGF (2018). In 2019, he received the SIMA short film award for best actor male. He has acted in various Kannada programs and short films.
