Syed Kamran Mahmood, also known as Syed Kamran, is an Indian music composer and director from Hyderabad, Telangana. He pursued his higher education at Osmania University. His entry into the Telugu film industry was marked by his debut in the 2015 movie “Tripura.” Since then, he has composed music for several films, including “Panchatantra Kathalu” (2022), “Arupu” (2018), “Dagudu Muthalu” (2016), “Llipi” (2019), “Kobbari Matta” (2019), “Middle Finger” (2018), “Excuse Me” (2017), “Forever Maybe” (2021), and “Devi Sri Prasad” (2017), among others.
Syed Kamran has received recognition for his work, winning the World Premiere Film Award for Best Original Score for “Manasanamaha” (2022) and the Vesuvius International Film Festival Award for Best Music for the same film. “Manasanamaha” also garnered attention at the Venice Film Awards (2020), where it received nominations for Best Original Song and Original Score. In 2021, the film earned Syed Kamran the Best Music award at the Oxford International Film Festival in the UK.
