Biography:

American actor and filmmaker James Alexander Chase Stokes was born on September 16, 1992, and is best known for playing John B. in the Netflix series Outer Banks (2020–present). Jeff Stokes and Jennifer Canning welcomed Stokes into the world in Annapolis, Maryland. When he was four years old, his parents got divorced. As a youngster, he relocated to Orlando, Florida, where he attended Timber Creek High School, after moving to Canton, Georgia, with his mother.

After graduating from Valencia College with a bachelor’s degree, Stokes went on to attend Seminole State College and the University of Central Florida. His first childhood dream was to play ice hockey professionally.
