Biography:

Swathi Prakash Mantripragada represents a growing group of filmmakers exploring suspenseful, character-driven storytelling in Telugu entertainment. Through her work on Nayanam, she became associated with psychological thriller narratives that combine human emotions with mystery and questions about personal boundaries. The series follows an unusual premise involving an ophthalmologist and scientific experiments, giving her an opportunity to explore a story beyond conventional romantic or family drama.

Her next project, Naa Wife Missing, brings her into a different but equally intriguing situation. Starring Varun Sandesh and Shweta Basu Prasad, the series centres on a marriage that takes an unexpected turn when the wife disappears. The premise allows the filmmaker to explore trust, suspicion, emotional conflict and the uncertainty that can exist between two people who share a life.

As a director, Swathi’s challenge is to balance the suspense of the investigation with the emotional reality of the characters. The audience must feel curious about the mystery while also understanding the relationships that make the story meaningful. With projects such as Nayanam and Naa Wife Missing, she is building her presence in the Telugu OTT industry.
