Biography:

Steven Spielberg is an award-winning American director, producer, and writer who is one of the most influential and successful directors in the history of movies. Spielberg is one of the pioneers of the modern blockbuster movie with films like Jaws (1975), but he went on to become one of the best film makers by making iconic movies that include but not limited to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can, Munich, Lincoln, Bridge of Spies, Ready Player One, West Side Story, and The Fabelmans. Through Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Pictures, Spielberg has been influential in changing Hollywood forever and nurturing several generations of directors. He is known for his great story telling, innovation in cinematography, emotionality of his films and blending the spectacle with the human drama. His films are mostly adventure, sci-fi, war, historical drama, and family oriented. Throughout his career, Spielberg has won many awards including Academy Awards, Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and Emmys among others.
