Biography:

Sriranjini is an Indian actress predominantly known for her appearances in Tamil cinema. Her roles have mainly been in supporting capacities across various Tamil films. Notable among her performances are those in movies like “Alaipayuthey” (2000), “Anniyan” (2005), and “Mozhi” (2007).

Sriranjini, hailing from a Marathi family in Bombay, Maharashtra, initiated her acting journey through the television series “Kasalavu Nesam,” directed by K. Balachander. Transitioning to the big screen, she made her film debut in Mani Ratnam’s “Alaipayuthey” (2000), where she portrayed Madhavan’s sister-in-law. Her portrayal of an Iyengar wife in Shankar’s “Anniyan” (2005) brought her notable recognition.

Up to September 2013, Sriranjini’s filmography boasts appearances in more than 54 films, marking her as a dedicated and experienced presence in the Tamil film industry.
