Sarita Patil

Biography:

Co-founder of the Mumbai-based production business Matchbox Shots, Sarita Patil is a well-known Indian film and web series producer. Major hits like Drishyam, Monica, O My Darling, Andhadhun, and the Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack are among her producing and executive credentials from her more than thirty years in the business. Before starting her own production company, Patil held important senior positions in Indian media, including Chief Production Officer at Balaji Motion Pictures and Vice President at Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Additionally, she oversaw the feature picture departments of Percept Picture Company and UTV Motion Pictures. After finishing an INSEAD senior executive leadership program, she made the switch to independent production. She has concentrated on character-driven storylines since co-founding Matchbox Shots in 2019 with Sanjay Routray and Dikssha Jyote Routray, creating acclaimed projects like Three of Us, All India Rank, and Scoop.
