Actress Santhy Balachandran is from India and primarily performs in Malayalam films. She starred opposite Tovino Thomas as the heroine in the 2017 Malayalam comedy-thriller film Tharangam, marking her feature film debut.
Santhy was the main character in Sanal Aman’s adaptation of Harold Pinter’s play The Lover. Director Arun Dominic reached her after the play was performed in Kochi and offered her a part in his movie Tharangam. She has also performed in plays, such as Roshan Mathew’s A Very Normal Family, in which she portrayed Sweety. Following her performance in The Lover, she was asked to play the part.
