Santha Kumari, better known by her stage name Disco Shanti, was born on August 28, 1965. She is an Indian actress who gained notoriety in South India primarily for her role in item numbers.
She has acted in over nine hundred films in various Indian languages, such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Odia.
Disco Shanti is the daughter of Tamil actor C. L. Anandan, who has acted in numerous films, including Kaattumallika and Vijayapuri Veeran. Lalitha Kumari is an actress and her younger sister. In 1996, she got married to Telugu star Sri Hari and quit acting. The couple had a daughter and two sons. Akshara, their daughter, passed away at the age of four months. In her honour, the family established the Akshara Foundation, whose mission is to provide school materials to students and fluoride-free water to villages. In Medchal, they also adopted four communities. Sri Hari, who had been experiencing symptoms of a liver condition for some time, complained of being giddy while Prabhu Deva was filming R… Rajkumar. After being hurried to a hospital he died later.
