Sahithya Jagannathan

Biography:

Sahithya Jagannathan is a sports presenter, VJ, anchor, columnist, model, actress and beauty pageant winner of the Vivel Miss Chennai competition in 2009

Sahithya represented India at the 2010 World Miss University pageant in Seoul, South Korea, where she earned the Miss Speech title after taking home the Miss Chennai 2009 crown. She managed her modeling responsibilities while still attending MOP Vaishnav College in Chennai to earn a degree in journalism. She has walked the runway for Season 1 and Season 3 of Chennai International Fashion Week. Additionally, she has appeared in runway presentations for companies including Volkswagen, Wrangler, Reebok, Toni & Guy, and GRT Jewellery as well as well-known Indian designers Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Rehane, and Ritu Kumar. Sahithya was chosen as one of the Top 25 candidates for Femina Miss India 2014.

Alongside Dhanya Balakrishna and Vidyullekha Raman, Sahithya made her acting debut in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s bilingual movie Neethane En Ponvasantham as Samantha’s childhood friend. She was later cast by R. Parthiban to play the lead part of an assistant director in his 2014 film Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam. In August 2014, the movie received favorable reviews before its release and did well at the box office. She also participated in the 2015 film Andhadhi, playing a police officer.
