Ramana Teja, a Telugu film director and writer, made his debut in the film industry as a director with the movie Aswaththama in 2020. Born on October 21, 1991, in Madanapally, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, he completed his B.Tech in Tamil Nadu. During his final year of B.Tech, Ramana Teja directed a short film. His passion for cinema led him to Hyderabad, where he worked as an assistant director for the movie Gaddam Gang. Following this, he directed another short film titled ‘Dushtashikshana,’ which he released on YouTube. Encouraged by the feedback, he pursued a master’s degree in screenplay writing in Boston, USA, and worked on several independent Hollywood films before returning home.
Upon his return, Ramana Teja met actor Nagashaurya during the promotions of ‘Chloe’ and was given the opportunity to direct the movie ‘Aswaththama,’ which was written by Nagashaurya.
