R. Chandru

Biography:

R Chandru is a Indian film writer, director, and producer also know as Mylari Ramiah Chandru was born on February 7, 1980, and he mainly works in Kannada cinema. Keshavavara, Chikkaballapur is the birthplace of R Chandrashekar, who was born to M Ramaiah and Lakshmi Devi.

Since he was a young child, he has been writing, and some of his stories have appeared in Kannada newspapers. He spent most of his early adult life working in his father’s farm. R Chandru began his film career working as S. Narayan’s assistant on the serial Bhageerathi.

‘Taj Mahal’, starring Ajay Rao and Pooja Gandhi, marked Chandru’s directorial and writing debut in 2008. The 2009 film Prem Kahani came next. He directed the popular Kannada film Mylari (2010), which starred Sadha and Shivrajkumar.

His films are primarily musical comedies. In the same way, he produced and directed Charminar, one of the most well-known Kannada films of 2013. Following his significant career success, Chandru established a production company called Sri Sideshwara Enterprises with the goal of supporting upcoming artists.

The historical epic Kabzaa, directed by Chandru, about an air force pilot who turns into a gangster in 1971, was released in 2023 The film was produced on a budget exceeding one hundred crores. The movie was released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

The film features Shriya Saran as the female lead, Madhumati, and Upendra and Sudeep as Arkeshwara and Bakshi, respectively. This movie’s soundtrack was written by Ravi Basrur. Despite the film’s mixed reviews, Chandru has announced that there will be a sequel.
