Biography:

Philomin Raj is a prominent film editor in the Tamil cinema industry, with a remarkable reputation among top stars and professionals. He has been actively contributing to Kollywood for over a decade and frequently collaborates with director Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Philomin gained recognition in 2016 through his work in the independent Anthology film “Aviyal,” directed by Alphonse Puthren.

However, his breakthrough came with the 2017 action-thriller “Maanagaram,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, where his unique and creative editing style received widespread acclaim. He was honored with the ‘Best Editor’ award at the Vijay Awards for his outstanding work on the film.

In 2019, Philomin worked on three highly successful films: “Mehendi Circus,” directed by Saravana Rajendran, “Raatchasi,” directed by Sy Gowthamraj and featuring Jyothika in the lead, and “Kaithi,” an action-thriller also directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, starring Karthi. His contributions to these projects were highly notable and well-received by audiences.

In 2020, Philomin Raj collaborated once again with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the action-thriller “Master,” featuring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. The film’s success further solidified Philomin’s status as an exceptional film editor in the Tamil cinema industry.
