He began his career with a small role in A Frozen Flower (2008) and gained prominence through theater plays like Rooftop Room Cat, The History Boys, and Model Students. He rose to fame with his supporting roles in dramas like Three Days (2014), Six Flying Dragons (2015-2016), and Don’t Dare to Dream (2016). His breakthrough came with the film Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018) and the TV drama My Only One (2018-2019), which earned him widespread recognition.
In recent years, Park is known for his villainous roles in The Glory (2022-2023) and Queen of Tears (2024). He also gained attention for playing a transgender ex-soldier, Cho Hyun-ju, in Squid Game season 2 (2024). Born to a family facing financial difficulties after his father lost his job during the IMF crisis, Park pursued a career in acting despite early struggles. He enrolled in Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts to study acting and film after high school.
