Neelima Rani is an Indian actress, dubbing artist, and producer, best known for her work in Tamil-language soap operas and films, particularly in antagonistic roles.
Her acting career began with the film Oru Pennin Kathai while she was still in school. During her summer vacations, she appeared in feature films like Thevar Magan, Virumbugiren, and Pandavar Bhoomi. At the age of 15, she played the second lead in Acham Madam Airyppu — Brindavanam. One of her notable roles was in the 850-episode Sun TV serial, Metti Oli, in 2001.
In 2011, Neelima decided to prioritize starring in feature films over television serials. Her performance as Karthi’s friend in Naan Mahaan Alla earned her the Edison Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also played a pivotal role in the film Muran.
Neelima ventured into production with K. S. Adhiyaman’s comedy film Amali Thumali, featuring Nakul, Shanthnu, and Santhanam in lead roles. Her responsibilities as a producer led her to oversee work in Fiji, resulting in her departure from the television serial Thendral. Later, she portrayed a significant role named ‘Dimple’ in the world record-winning Sun TV serial, Vani Rani.
