N. Subash Chandrabose is a male Indian producer who is known for his work in Tamil cinema. He has produced numerous films and has received several accolades, including awards from Filmfare, national honors, and South Indian international movie awards. Currently residing in Tamil Nadu, he co-founded the production house Thirupathi Brothers with his brother N. Lingusamy in 2006, which is based in Tamil Nadu, India, and operates under the motion pictures category. While Subash serves as a producer, his brother Lingusamy is the director.
Subash began his career with the film “Deepawali,” a romantic movie released on February 9, 2007, directed by Ezhil and starring Jayaram and Bhavana in lead roles. The film portrays a tragic love story where a girl forgets her boyfriend after experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder. Although the movie received mixed reviews, Subash’s next production, “Puttalam,” featuring Nadiya and Irfan Mohammed, was released on March 27, 2009.
This was followed by “Paiyaa,” an action romantic film directed by Lingusamy, which hit the screens on April 2, 2010. The plot revolves around a taxi driver’s efforts to protect the girl he loves from miscreants and win her heart, achieving moderate success at the box office. 2012 marked a significant year for Subash, with the release of films like “Vettai,” “Vazhakku Enn 18/9,” and “Kumki,” all produced under his banner. “Vazhakku Enn” received numerous awards, including the Filmfare and silver lotus awards, and was nominated for the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA). Similarly, “Kumki” was nominated for the 2013 Filmfare Awards and won the 2013 SIIMA for Best Film.
In 2014, Subash collaborated with Santosh Sivan on the film “Inam,” which depicts the story of teenage orphans during the civil war in Sri Lanka. The film, released on March 28, received positive reviews. Additionally, Subash produced “Manja Pai” and “Anjaan” in 2014. His 2015 releases include “Uttama Villain,” a romantic drama, and “Rajini Murugan,” an action comedy. His latest work, “Idamporulyaeval,” is scheduled for release on May 27 of this year.
