Biography:

N. C. Karunya, born on March 1, 1986, in Hyderabad, India, is a versatile Indian personality known for his multi-faceted career in singing, stage performance, hosting, songwriting, and YouTube content creation. His musical journey commenced early with training in Carnatic classical music under the tutelage of his Guru, “Vaaggeya Vidwanmani” Sri N.C. Murthy, starting in 2000.

Karunya’s first foray into the limelight came when he emerged victorious in the Padutha Theeyaga Junior series in 1998. He gained further recognition as a participant in the esteemed reality show Indian Idol Season 2, where he showcased his exceptional vocal talent. Though he secured the runner-up position to fellow contestant Sandeep Acharya, the show significantly propelled his career in the music industry.

Post-Indian Idol, Karunya transitioned into a prolific recording artist, lending his voice to over 200 projects across various languages such as Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Bengali. His proficiency in Telugu, his mother tongue, notably marked a substantial portion of his musical repertoire.

Apart from his singing career, Karunya ventured into hosting musical reality shows, adding another dimension to his profile. His notable hosting roles include shows like Little Champs on Zee Telugu, Airtel’s “Saptaswaralu” on ETV, Vijetha-Voice of Andhra on local TV alongside renowned judge M. M.
