Gopynathan Muralikrishnan, also known as Murali Gopy in the professional world, is an Indian actor-screenwriter-producer-author-singer-lyricist-musician-journalist. He is the author of the highest-grossing Malayalam film Lucifer as well as Ee Adutha Kaalathu, Left Right Left, Tiyaan, Kammara Sambhavam, and Left Right Left. He has received various honors, including the South Indian International Movie Awards and Filmfare Awards South.
After earning his master’s degree in journalism from the Institute of Journalism in Thiruvananthapuram, Murali Gopy began working as a reporter and sub-editor for The New Indian Express in 1995. Later, he worked as a sub-editor and Features Editor for The Hindu. After moving to the UAE, he started working for Arab-Allied Media in Dubai as the main sub-editor of the sports publications Cleanbowled and Sports Today. He was named the chief editor of MSN India Entertainment in 2008. He left the position in 2012 to devote more time to acting in movies. The actor Bharath Gopi and Jayalakshmy’s son is named Murali. Gowri and Gowrav, his two children, are the result of his marriage to Anjana Pillai. Anjana passed away from a heart attack on April 26, 2015, when she was 38 years old.
