Michael A. Walker is an English screenwriter for films and television shows. He has written for a number of popular television shows, including Devils, Collision, The Swarm, and Young Wallander, and has won and been nominated for more than fifteen awards for his produced work.
Craig Sheffer starred in Walker’s debut feature picture, The Fall, which came out when he was barely 21. His short film Does God Play Football, which starred Kevin McKidd and Helen McCrory, won the crystal bear at the Berlinale Film Festival in 2005 and was nominated for nine more awards. He went on to create and direct a number of other works.
Walker and Anthony Horowitz co-wrote the popular five-part ITV drama Collision in 2009. Later, in 2015, he worked on the medical drama Critical by Jed Mercurio. Based on Guido Maria Brera’s novel, he created and executive produced the 2019 Sky Italia banking thriller series Devils, which starred Patrick Dempsey. Walker wrote “Killer’s Shadow,” the second season of Young Wallander, for Netflix.
