American film director, writer, and producer Marshall Schreiber Herskovitz was born on February 23, 1952 and is presently the Producers Guild of America’s President Emeritus. Traffic, Blood Diamond, The Last Samurai, and I Am Sam are among of his productions. Dangerous Beauty and Jack the Bear are the two feature films that Herskovitz has directed. The television programs Thirtysomething, My So-Called Life, and Once and Again were all created and executive produced by Herskovitz, who also wrote and directed a number of their episodes.
