LaKeith Lee Stanfield is an American musician and actor who was born on August 12, 1991. Short Term 12 (2013), his first feature picture, earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination. He was also recognised for his work in the films Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), Uncut Gems (2019), Knives Out (2019), Get Out (2017), and Sorry to Bother You (2018). The latter film garnered him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
In addition, Stanfield starred in the following films: Crown Heights (2017), The Photograph (2020), The Harder They Fall (2021), Haunted Mansion (2023), Straight Outta Compton (2015), Dope (2015), Selma (2014), and The Book of Clarence (2023). He starred on television in the horror series The Changeling (2023) and the series Atlanta (2016–2022), for which he received a Black Reel Award for Television.
