Kristina Akheeva

Biography:

Kristina was born to Russian parents in Khabarovsk, Russia. Kristina relocated to Australia when she was 7 years old, where she completed her schooling.

She accepted a three-month modeling contract from a Singaporean agent when she was twenty-one years old, and during the next six years she lived and worked as a model in six different countries, including India.

Before turning to modeling full-time, Akheeva had studied acting at the Melbourne, Australia-based Film and TV Academy. She lived in six different countries and traveled the world for six years as a model.

She was the face of numerous fashion and jewelry brands across the globe and had participated in advertising campaigns for companies including Palmolive, Sunsilk, Vaseline lotion, and dish TV.

She tried out for the lead in Sangeeth Sivan’s action comedy Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, staring Sunny Deol, while she was in India for a modeling contract.

She took a hiatus from modeling when the directors selected her in search of a foreign face. August 2012 saw the confirmation of her casting.

She practiced her Hindi and performed a self-dubbing during the shoot. Anuj Kumar wrote for The Hindu that Akheeva “seemed] suitable to play [Sunny’s] daughter.”

He deemed the movie’s plot “nonsensical” and offered criticism. Deol’s father, Dharmendra, expressed his desire “to play [Deol’s] character so that I could have romanced her” in reference to his significant role in the movie.

She debuted in Tollywood with Galipatam in 2014. directed by Naveen Gandhi, a rookie. Tollywood Times praised Akheeva’s performance and said, “She is one girl to watch out for Despite her Australian origins, she fits in as an Indian girl with ease. She gave a fantastic performance.

She’s a skilled actor who will soon soar to greater heights in Telugu cinema. In addition, Akheeva starred alongside Upendra in the lead role in the recently released Kannada film Uppi 2.

The bilingual film, which was released in Telugu and Kannada, holds the distinction for being the highest-rated film ever made worldwide. She has salsa dancing training as well.

In 2013 and 2014, she stole the show as the showstopper for Anmol Jewellers and D Navinchandra, respectively, during India International Jewellery Week.
