Karuna Bhushan

karun bhushan Born on June 15, 1988, in Hyderabad to a Marathi mother and Telugu father, she had a diverse upbringing, spending a significant part of her childhood in Maharashtra with her mother and siblings. As a result, she has a stronger command of Marathi than Telugu. Her father served as a Central Government employee in ESIC Hyderabad. Her parents recognized her interest in cultural activities and encouraged her to join Bal Bhavan, where she received training in both classical and western dance forms, which would prove beneficial in her future acting career.

She made her acting debut as a child artist in the 1998 Telugu film “Aahaa,” directed by Suresh Krishna and produced under the Annapurna Studios banner. Over the years, she has been actively involved in the film industry and has shared the screen with some of South India’s top actors, including Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Jagapati Babu, Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Hero Jeyam Ravi, Hero Allu Arjun, Hero Siddharth, and many others.

She has had the privilege of working with renowned directors such as K. Raghavendra Rao, Jayanth C. Paranji, Srinu Vaitla, Gunasekhar, Kishore (Dolly), Koratala Siva, Lawrence, Ameer Sultan, Suresh Krishna, among others.

Her standout performances in Akkineni Nagarjuna’s and Lawrence Master’s “Mass” movie brought her recognition and acclaim. This led to her being cast in a significant role in the blockbuster film “Shankar Dada MBBS,” starring Mega Star Chiranjeevi, and she has continued to play prominent roles in many successful films since then. She is known for her consistent selection of meaningful roles in top movies, entertaining both Telugu and Tamil audiences.

In addition to her film career, she has hosted a TV travel show called “Vihari The Traveller” on Maa Tv, which holds the record for a 12-year telecast since its inception. She is the first anchor in Telugu television history to host a program for more than a decade. Her television journey began in 2007 with “Yuva,” produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna and aired on Maa Tv.

Since then, she has been part of various television serials, playing notable characters in shows like “Love” as Dr. Kavita, “Pasupu Kumkuma” as Narmada, “Mogalirekulu” as Devi, “Sravana Sameeralu” as Poojanath, “Nuvva Nena” as Aishwarya, “Abhishekam” as Dr. Subhadra, and “Yamuna” (Tamil) and “Nathicharami” (Telugu) as Hita, as well as “Neelikaluvalu” as Suryarekha.
